Internship
As an intern at Arthur D. Little (ADL), you will work closely with the analysts and consultants in a dynamic team environment and will gain responsibility for project deliverables. Every project is different: a new industry, new skills to be developed and different colleagues. For example, you may have to work on the development of a growth strategy for a technology company or development of a sustainability strategy for a chemical company. In addition, Arthur D. Little is very active in the global M&A world, so as an intern you could also become part of a team that will determine the selling price of, for example, a spices company that is about to be sold to an American investor.
The skills you obtain by doing many of these different types of projects are versatile. In every project you are urged to quickly see where the most important and biggest problems are and then put all your energy into solving them with data and qualitative research.
Who are we looking for?
The background of our consultants varies widely: from engineering to physics to business studies. The common denominator is that we all have an analytical and curious mindset and are problem solvers.
We are looking for candidates with a versatile resume, including excellent results in high school and university, and ambitious future plans.
Ideal candidates will have previous relevant experience – either through an internship or otherwise – in an analytical/research/consulting role in which they will have successfully applied their knowledge and skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages, especially Excel, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. Fluency in English is required; Dutch language skills are desirable. The candidate should be a highly motivated self-starter and a strong team player.
